Courses

Two taught courses, both online, both live rather than recorded. Groups are capped at fourteen because past that number nobody gets their reading looked at properly.

A full deck laid out in rows on a pale surface

Foundations in Tarot

Eight weeksThursdays 19.00–21.00 UKOnline, live£340

For people who own a deck and have never got past looking things up. We work through the structure of the deck rather than the meanings of individual cards: why the four suits behave differently, what the numbers are doing, and how the majors change a reading they appear in.

By week eight you will be reading a three-card spread out loud, from your own words, without the little white book anywhere near you.

Reading for Others

Ten weeksTuesdays 19.00–21.30 UKOnline, live£460

Everything that is different when the cards are about someone else's life. How to open and close a reading, how to hold forty minutes without filling silence, what to do when a sitter cries, and how to say you do not know.

Half of each session is practice in pairs with a tutor moving between rooms. You will have read for at least twelve people you have never met before the course ends. Foundations, or an equivalent grounding, is assumed.

What Foundations covers, week by week

  1. The deck as a structure — majors, minors, courts, and why that division matters more than any single meaning.
  2. The four suits as four ways of being in a situation.
  3. Numbers one to ten, read as a progression rather than as ten separate things.
  4. Court cards, and the standard trap of reading them all as people.
  5. The majors, first half, as pressures rather than events.
  6. The majors, second half. First full three-card readings out loud.
  7. Reversals — how they work, and why we teach reading without them first.
  8. Putting it together: a full reading for yourself, written up and discussed.

Fees and instalments

Reading for Others£4602 × £230£80

Instalments carry no interest and no admin charge. The deposit holds a place and comes off the final payment; it is refundable up to fourteen days before teaching starts, which is set out properly in the enrolment terms.

Access and bursaries

Two places on every Foundations intake and one on every Reading for Others are held at a third of the fee. There is no means test and no form: write to the studio and say you would like one of the reduced places. If more people ask than there are places, we go by the order the messages arrived, and we tell you where you are on the list rather than leaving you waiting.

Sessions are captioned live. Recordings go out within twenty-four hours and stay available for a year, so a missed week is not a lost week. If a screen reader or a different format would make the written material usable, say so when you enrol and we will prepare it before term rather than during it.

What you need

What we do not teach

We do not teach prediction of dates, health outcomes, legal results or the actions of third parties. Not because those are forbidden subjects but because tarot is not a reliable instrument for them, and teaching otherwise would be teaching students to mislead people. Our code of practice sets out how to redirect those questions without being cold about it.
